THE COMPANY:


Our client is a leading mechanical engineering contractor delivering complex mechanical and building services projects across Ireland. With a strong reputation for quality, technical expertise and project delivery, they continue to secure major projects within the pharmaceutical, data centre, healthcare, commercial and industrial sectors.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Senior BIM Coordinator to strengthen their design and project delivery team.


THE ROLE:


The successful Senior BIM Coordinator will take ownership of BIM coordination activities across multiple projects, ensuring the effective delivery of coordinated models and project information throughout the project lifecycle.


Working closely with Design Managers, Contracts Managers, Engineers, Consultants and Site Teams, you will play a critical role in project planning, clash detection, coordination and BIM execution.


Key responsibilities include:


• Leading BIM coordination across multiple projects

• Managing model federation, coordination and clash detection processes

• Producing and reviewing coordinated BIM models

• Supporting project teams throughout design and construction phases

• Chairing BIM coordination meetings with consultants, clients and subcontractors

• Developing BIM execution plans and project workflows

• Managing BIM deliverables and project documentation

• Ensuring projects comply with BIM standards and client requirements

• Supporting construction teams with model-based project delivery

• Mentoring and developing junior BIM Coordinators and BIM Technicians

• Identifying opportunities for process improvement and BIM innovation

• Supporting digital construction and project delivery initiatives


THE PERSON:


We are looking to speak with candidates who have experience within mechanical contracting, M&E contracting, building services consultancy or construction environments. Candidates currently working as Senior BIM Coordinators, BIM Leads, BIM Managers or experienced BIM Coordinators looking to progress their careers are encouraged to apply.


The ideal candidate will have:


• Proven BIM coordination experience within construction or building services

• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical services coordination

• Experience working on large-scale construction projects

• Advanced Revit and Navisworks experience

• Strong understanding of BIM standards and project workflows

• Experience carrying out clash detection and model coordination

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

• Experience mentoring or leading BIM personnel would be advantageous

• Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
