Head of Finance

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and commercially minded Head of Finance to join a high-performing organisation in a pivotal leadership role.

Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead the finance function, manage a team of five direct reports, and partner closely with stakeholders across the business to drive performance and provide commercial insight.
This role suits a hands-on leader who enjoys mentoring teams, building strong relationships, and rolling up their sleeves when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing finance team
• Partner with senior stakeholders across the business
• Drive budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
• Manage cashflow 
• Oversee month-end, year-end and audit processes
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of regulatory tax returns
• Support continuous improvement across finance processes and reporting
• Work closely with the CFO on strategic and operational initiatives

About You

• Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role
• Strong people leadership and coaching capability
• Commercially minded with strong business partnering skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
• Strong understanding of NZ tax and compliance requirements
• Proactive, positive and willing to get involved at all levels
• CA/CPA qualified essential
