Mechanical Application Engineer

Your tasks:

• To provide technical explanation, data and drawing of Foundation Brake Product as a customer window to proceed with OEM Foundation Brake business hunting and project execution except NVH

• To establish and execute foundation brake development/validation testing plan together with internal and external teams (customers) for the responsible projects

• To interface with customers to understand customers’ requirements and to communicate with customers through informal and formal presentations and meetings.

• To interface and closely work with foundation brake product engineering teams to define product proposals and for AP applications

• To support sales team to development new customers and business opportunities

• To interface, closely work with and support global brake product development teams for product development to ensure the customer requirements are met

•To work closely with EPM, AP team, including Test team, to ensure project is running smoothly

• To support OEM production launch

• Measurement of basic FB product performance as required

• Parts delivery with basic inspection, keeping MRD with collaboration of EPM Your profile:

Requirements

• Must have 5+ years of work experience in product applications and system engineering in automotive chassis system products, preferably in braking-related systems and products

• Must have good oral and written communication skills in both Japanese and English languages

• Must have good problem solving skills

• Must be good at team work

• Must be willing to travel (domestic and international) and prepared to work hard and maybe overtime

• Preferred to have good understanding of the product application and development process

• Preferred to have experience and skills in customer application project management.

• Preferred to have knowledge and experience in product design, implementation, system integration and testing
