ROLE DETAILS

• $75-80 per hour plus super depending on experience 
• 38 hours per week full time role
• Sydney CBD based
• ASAP start
• Hybrid working – generally 3 days in the office / 2 days work from home
• Initial 3-month temporary contract, with potential to extend

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a varied external engagement role spanning stakeholder relationships, industry engagement, executive briefings and events. You’ll work with senior internal and external stakeholders, keep across emerging sector issues and make sure important engagements are well prepared and followed through. There’s plenty of autonomy, making this a great fit for someone who can quickly get across a new environment, build relationships and get things moving.

DUTIES

• Manage relationships with industry bodies, sector organisations, delivery partners and external stakeholders
• Coordinate stakeholder meetings, roundtables, industry forums and senior engagements
• Support broader stakeholder and industry engagement activity
• Monitor policy and industry developments, stakeholder sentiment and emerging issues
• Prepare executive briefs, speaking notes and stakeholder communications
• Coordinate briefing materials and logistics for external engagements and events
• Track stakeholder commitments and ensure follow-up actions are progressed
• Work with internal teams to gather information and support engagement activity

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years’ experience in external affairs, stakeholder engagement, government relations, corporate affairs or a related area
• Strong experience managing relationships with senior and complex external stakeholders
• Excellent writing skills across executive briefs, speaking notes and stakeholder communications
• Strong judgement and the ability to navigate stakeholder sensitivities
• Highly organised, adaptable and comfortable managing competing priorities
• Experience in government, financial services or another complex stakeholder environment will be highly regarded
