Location: Naas, Co. Kildare

Salary: €50,000 – €55,000 + Pension

THE COMPANY:

Our client is a leading engineering and service organisation with a strong reputation for quality, customer service and operational excellence. Due to continued growth and increased workshop activity, they are seeking a Workshop Supervisor to join their team in Naas.

This role will play a key part in ensuring the efficient day-to-day running of the workshop while developing and supporting a high-performing team.

THE ROLE:

The successful Workshop Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing workshop operations, managing technician performance and ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

Managing a busy workshop environment, you will be responsible for driving performance through people, ensuring processes are followed and maintaining strong communication across the team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervising and supporting workshop technicians on a daily basis

• Driving productivity, efficiency and workshop performance

• Managing workloads and ensuring tasks are completed on schedule

• Leading, motivating and developing team members

• Providing coaching, feedback and performance management support

• Ensuring workshop procedures and processes are consistently followed

• Managing workshop administration, reporting and paperwork requirements

• Coordinating effectively with internal departments and management teams

• Promoting a strong culture of safety, accountability and teamwork

• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across workshop operations

• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer service

THE PERSON:

We are looking to speak with candidates who have previous workshop supervisory experience within engineering, plant, automotive, construction equipment, heavy machinery, manufacturing or technical service environments.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience as a Workshop Supervisor, Team Leader or similar management role

• Strong people management and leadership skills

• Experience managing teams within a busy operational environment

• Ability to motivate, coach and develop technical personnel

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Experience managing performance and driving accountability

• Excellent organisational and planning abilities

• Strong process, administration and paperwork management skills

• A proactive and results-driven management style

THE PACKAGE:

• Base Salary: €50,000 – €55,000 DOE

• Pension Scheme (3%)

• 21 Days Annual Leave

WORKING HOURS:

• Monday to Thursday: 9:00am – 5:30pm

• Friday: 9:00am – 4:30pm

• Participation in a rota to work every fourth Saturday (8:00am – 12:00pm)
