THE COMPANY:
Our client is a leading engineering and manufacturing organisation, designing and producing specialist equipment for customers across a range of industrial sectors. Through continued investment in innovation and engineering excellence, they are looking to strengthen their design team with the appointment of a Graduate Design Engineer.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate looking to kickstart their engineering career within a supportive and technically challenging environment.
THE ROLE:
The successful Graduate Design Engineer will support the design, development and improvement of engineered products and systems.
Working alongside senior engineers and manufacturing teams, you will gain exposure to the full product lifecycle, from concept design and development through to manufacturing and implementation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the design and development of mechanical products and components
- Producing 2D and 3D engineering drawings
- Assisting with product development and design improvement projects
- Supporting prototype development and testing activities
- Working closely with manufacturing and production teams
- Reviewing engineering specifications and technical requirements
- Assisting with problem-solving and technical analysis
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Preparing technical documentation and engineering reports
- Participating in design reviews and project meetings
THE PERSON:
We are looking to speak with candidates who have recently completed a Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering qualification and are looking to build a career within product design and engineering.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or related discipline
- Strong interest in mechanical design and product development
- Experience using CAD software through education, projects or placements
- Good understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn
- Placement, internship or project experience within manufacturing would be advantageous
THE PACKAGE:
- Base Salary: €35,000 – €45,000 DOE

LOCATION:
Ideally based in Louth, Meath, Monaghan, Cavan or North Dublin, with the role based full-time in Co. Louth.
