THE COMPANY:

Our client is a long-established and highly respected supplier of construction plant, heavy equipment and industrial machinery throughout Ireland. Representing a portfolio of premium global manufacturers, they provide sales, servicing and technical support to customers across construction, quarrying, recycling, infrastructure and industrial sectors.

Due to continued growth within their service department, they are seeking a Construction Plant Fitter to join their Leinster-based engineering team.

THE ROLE:

The successful Construction Plant Fitter will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a range of heavy plant and construction equipment across customer sites and workshop environments.

This is a hands-on engineering role offering excellent variety, exposure to market-leading machinery and ongoing manufacturer training.

Key responsibilities include:

• Diagnosing and repairing faults on construction plant and heavy equipment

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and servicing activities

• Troubleshooting hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems

• Performing repairs to engines, transmissions and associated equipment

• Conducting inspections and equipment testing

• Completing warranty and service-related work as required

• Maintaining accurate service reports and documentation

• Providing technical support and advice to customers

• Ensuring work is completed safely and to manufacturer standards

• Supporting customers across the Leinster region

THE PERSON:

We are looking to speak with candidates who have experience within construction plant, heavy equipment, agricultural machinery, heavy vehicles, quarrying equipment or industrial maintenance environments.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Qualified Construction Plant Fitter, Heavy Equipment Technician or similar trade qualification

• Experience maintaining and repairing heavy plant equipment

• Strong hydraulic, mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills

• Experience working on excavators, loaders, dumpers or related machinery

• Good problem-solving and diagnostic abilities

• Strong communication and customer-facing skills

• Ability to work independently in a field-based environment

• Full clean driving licence

• Base Salary: €50,000 – €55,000 DOE

LOCATION:
