The roles

Depending on the position, your responsibilities may include:

  • Servicing and repairing trucks, buses, coaches and heavy equipment
  • Completing mechanical and electrical diagnostics
  • Repairing engines, transmissions, braking and suspension systems
  • Carrying out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
  • Completing breakdown repairs and fault-finding
  • Maintaining accurate job cards and service records


About you

  • Australian Heavy Vehicle or Diesel Mechanic trade qualification, or equivalent international qualification
  • For UK and Irish applicants: a relevant City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, IMI or equivalent qualification in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair
  • Relevant post-apprenticeship experience
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Experience working on heavy vehicles, trucks, buses, coaches or mobile equipment
  • Current driver’s licence
