LORG Talent is partnering with an established truck and bus dealership to recruit a qualified Heavy Vehicle Technician for a permanent, full-time opportunity in Melbourne, Victoria.
You will work on Volvo, UD and Mack commercial vehicles, carrying out diagnostics, servicing and repairs within a dealership workshop.

The role
- Service and repair heavy commercial vehicles
- Complete mechanical and electrical diagnostics
- Repair engines, transmissions, braking and suspension systems
- Carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
- Complete breakdown repairs and fault-finding
- Use diagnostic equipment and technical information to identify faults
- Maintain accurate job cards and service records
- Work safely and support the workshop team
About you
- Australian Heavy Vehicle or Diesel Mechanic trade qualification, or equivalent international qualification
- For UK and Irish applicants: a relevant City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, IMI or equivalent qualification in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair
- Minimum of 5 years’ post-apprenticeship experience as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience working on trucks, buses or other heavy commercial vehicles
- Volvo, UD or Mack experience highly regarded
- Current driver’s licence
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
