Lorg Talent is recruiting qualified PSV / HGV Mechanics and Bus & Coach Technicians from the UK and Ireland for a leading Australian coach operator.
You’ll work on a modern, well-maintained fleet of long-distance coaches in clean, organised workshops, with opportunities in Canberra and Sydney.
Pay & Benefits
- AUD $41.50 per hour — approximately £43,700 base annually
- 12% employer superannuation (pension) contribution, paid on top of your base salary and not deducted from your wages
- Optional weekday overtime and Saturday half-day opportunities
- First two overtime hours each weekday paid at time and a half
- Saturday overtime paid at time and a half for the first two hours, then double time
- Some relocation assistance, with details discussed during recruitment
Pay is before tax and paid in Australian dollars. GBP figures are approximate and subject to exchange rates. Overtime is subject to availability.
The Role
- Scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
- Diagnostics, fault finding and mechanical repairs
- Engine rebuilds and overhauls
- Brake, steering and suspension repairs
- Breakdown call-outs
- Completing maintenance records and following workshop safety procedures
About You
- Recognised Heavy Vehicle, HGV or Bus & Coach Mechanic qualification, such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent
- Hands-on bus and coach maintenance experience
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A genuine interest in relocating to Australia
HGV mechanics with relevant bus and coach experience are encouraged to apply.
