A medical device manufacturer is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support production of a wireless, handheld Reader unit used for Pulmonary artery (PA) pressure monitoring. This role is responsible for the assembly and testing of the Reader and Docking Station, following established manufacturing and quality procedures.
Job Responsibilities: In this role, you will manage and support a variety of projects within the Manufacturing department. Key responsibilities include:
- Following manufacturing process instructions (MPIs) and performing quality inspection procedures (QIPs), documenting results as required
- Assembling and heat staking printed circuit boards (PCBs) into top and bottom housing assemblies
- Making custom cable assemblies and integrating them into dock assemblies
- Building antenna assemblies with PCBs and ferrite sheets
- Following Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
- Maintaining a clean and controlled working environment and participating in 5S activities
- Assisting in writing manufacturing documentation as needed
- Supporting the R&D team as needed
- Providing support for other manufacturing product lines as needed
- Performing other duties as assigned by Manager
Essential Job Duties and Job Functions:
- Ability to lift and handle 25-pound boxes
- Ability to complete tasks and work with minimal supervision after training
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to complete technical documentation accurately
Knowledge and Skills:
- 1+ years of related experience
- Experience in the Medical Device field highly desired
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and Android/iOS use
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to complete technical documentation with a high level of accuracy
- Ability to communicate well both orally and in written form
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED required; Associate degree helpful
