The OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) Implementation Manager to join an established organisation in Sydney West.

This is a unique opportunity to act as an independent representative between the business and its external Dynamics 365 implementation partner. You will provide oversight, governance and transparency across the implementation, ensuring the business is well informed, risks are identified early and the implementation partner remains aligned with the organisation's objectives.

You will not be responsible for delivering the implementation yourself. Instead, you will act as the business-side subject matter expert and independent point of oversight, challenging the implementation partner where required and ensuring the project stays on track.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary independent liaison between the organisation and its Dynamics 365 F&O implementation partner.
• Provide independent oversight of the implementation, ensuring key milestones, deliverables and timelines are being achieved.
• Review and communicate project progress, risks, issues and dependencies to key internal stakeholders.
• Translate technical and implementation-related information from the partner into clear, business-friendly updates.
• Challenge project decisions, assumptions and proposed solutions where appropriate.
• Ensure the implementation partner is delivering against agreed scope, requirements and expectations.
• Monitor project governance, documentation, testing, data migration and change management activities.
• Work closely with internal business stakeholders to understand concerns, requirements and priorities.
• Coordinate with the implementation partner to ensure issues are appropriately addressed and escalated.
• Identify potential risks or delivery issues before they become major problems.
• Provide regular reporting to senior management and key business stakeholders.
• Support decision-making by providing an independent view of project progress and partner performance.
• Help ensure the organisation is adequately prepared for key implementation milestones, testing and go-live.

About You:

You will be an experienced Dynamics 365 F&O professional who understands the realities of large-scale ERP implementations and can confidently operate between a business and an implementation partner.

You will ideally have:

• Strong experience across Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations implementations.
• Previous experience working on ERP implementation or transformation projects.
• Strong understanding of Dynamics F&O implementation methodology, project phases and key deliverables.
• Experience working with external implementation partners or consultancies.
• The ability to understand technical detail without necessarily being a hands-on technical resource.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong commercial and project governance awareness.
• The confidence to challenge an implementation partner when required.
• Strong reporting, documentation and risk-management skills.
• Experience communicating with senior business stakeholders and executives.
• The ability to work independently and provide an objective perspective.
