Field Application Engineer

About the Company:

The company is an automotive supplier that operates in nearly 30 countries. They offer cutting-edge products and systems that contribute to lowering CO2 emissions as well as developing intuitive driving.

Responsibilities:

• Interface between the Company and automotive OEMs SW teams for their SW design, development, integration, and test phase
• Provide technical guidance in the design phase
• Provide Level 1 customer support. Perform pre-analysis and characterization of customers' issues, help to reproduce and characterize customer issues on the Company's side.
• Coordinate Level 2 customer support with the Company's engineering teams to provide answers and solutions to raised questions/issues.
• Coordinate Level 3 customer support with the Company's product owners and architects for more advanced issues.
• Contribute to and propose product improvements/evolution definition, including support material (documentation, sample code, tools, etc.)
• Collect customer feedback on deliverables, documentation, and testing tools for improvement.
• Regular travel to customers' sites as needed
• NAS/RRC network analysis
• Network simulations

Requirements

• University degree
  • Computer Engineering
  • Computer Science
• 10 years of experience with mobile networks (4G/5G)
• Good knowledge of RRC/NAS layer
• Understanding of the physical layer
• Experience with at least one of the tools/equipment (Anritsu/Rohde Schwarz/Amarisoft/QXDM/ELT)
• Presentation skills
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required. German is an advantage.
