Service Coordinator | Mackay, QLD | 10-Month Contract

Our client is a leading provider of industrial equipment, compressed air systems, power generation solutions, and aftermarket services, supporting customers across mining, resources, manufacturing, construction, and heavy industry sectors.

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Service Coordinator to join their Mackay operation on a 10-month contract. This role is ideal for a highly organised professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, coordinating field service activities, and delivering exceptional customer support.

About the Role

Reporting to the Service Manager, the Service Coordinator will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of service operations across the region.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating and scheduling field service technicians for planned maintenance, installations, breakdowns, and emergency repair work.
• Optimising technician schedules to maximise productivity, utilisation, and customer response times.
• Managing site access, mobilisation requirements, and service-related logistics.
• Acting as the primary point of contact for customers, responding to enquiries and providing updates on service activities.
• Assessing customer requirements and assisting with the recommendation of appropriate service and maintenance solutions.
• Ensuring all labour, parts, and associated costs are accurately allocated to service work orders.
• Generating invoices and supporting service administration processes in accordance with company procedures.
• Maintaining accurate customer records, service documentation, and operational databases.
• Preparing reports relating to service performance, utilisation, and customer outcomes.
• Working closely with internal stakeholders to continuously improve service delivery processes and operational efficiency.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• A minimum of 2–3 years' experience in a Service Coordinator, Service Administrator, Scheduler, or similar position.
• Previous experience within industrial, engineering, mining, manufacturing, construction, mechanical, or related industries.
• Strong scheduling and workforce coordination skills.
• Excellent customer service and stakeholder management capabilities.
• High attention to detail with strong administrative and organisational skills.
• Experience managing work orders, invoicing, service reporting, and customer records.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and service management systems.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
