The Role
Reporting into a highly experienced legal team, you'll enjoy a broad and varied practice spanning transactional, commercial, property, and financial services law.

Key responsibilities include:

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements, lending documents and finance transactions.
• Managing lending and asset finance matters from inception through to completion.
• Advising on trust structures, security arrangements and transaction structuring across the lending portfolio.
• Supporting property backed finance transactions, including due diligence, securities, settlements and related documentation.
• Working closely with brokers, external legal advisers and business stakeholders to facilitate seamless transaction execution.
• Providing practical, commercially focused advice on legal and regulatory issues affecting lending and credit products.
• Maintaining strong transaction management and record keeping practices across a high volume workflow.
• Contributing to the ongoing development of legal precedents, documentation and internal processes to improve efficiency and consistency.

About You
We're interested in lawyers who enjoy working close to the commercial coalface and are excited by the opportunity to build a long term career within financial services.

You'll likely bring:

• A Bachelor of Laws and approximately 3 to 5 years post admission experience gained in commercial, property, banking and finance, or corporate transactions.
• Experience advising on property transactions, lending arrangements, trust structures or secured finance matters.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent organisational abilities and the confidence to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
• A pragmatic, solutions focused mindset with a genuine interest in understanding how financial products and transactions work.
• The ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly to both legal and non legal stakeholders.
• An interest in financial services regulation, with exposure to areas such as ASIC, the Corporations Act, NCCP, Privacy, AML/CTF and PPS legislation highly regarded.
