Welder

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a variety of welding equipment and techniques, including MIG, TIG, FCAW, and stick welding. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret welding symbols and blueprints, and a commitment to safety and quality standards. The Welder will fabricate, assemble, and repair metal components while ensuring production goals and customer expectations are met.

Responsibilities

• Determine appropriate welding equipment, methods, and techniques required for each project

• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and specifications

• Develop templates and work aids to align and hold parts properly

• Set up and operate welding equipment including MIG, TIG, stick welders, air arc machines, and cutting torches

• Tack-weld and weld components and assemblies in flat, vertical, and overhead positions

• Deburr, grind, and finish metal surfaces to meet quality and texture requirements

• Perform quality inspections throughout production and follow procedures for defective materials or parts

• Conduct equipment inspections prior to use and report any malfunctions or safety concerns

• Safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, grinders, and other shop equipment as needed

• Receive, inspect, and unload incoming materials

• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production schedules and On-Time Delivery goals

• Maintain accurate documentation, including time sheets and production records

• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards

• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free from hazard

• Assist with additional duties and equipment operation as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous welding and fabrication experience preferred

• Strong knowledge of MIG, TIG, FCAW, and stick welding processes

• Ability to weld stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum component

• Capable of passing ASME and AWS welding certification tests

• Understanding of proper filler materials and welding techniques

• Experience using overhead cranes, forklifts, grinders, calipers, tape measures, and hand tools

• Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment

Benefits/Compensation

• Full Time

• Pay Rate is $23+ per hour

• Shift (7a-3:30p)

• Weekly pay while employed through Career Concepts

• Benefits available while employed through Career Concepts

• Temp-To-Hire

• Benefits after Probation period
