Morgan Consulting is delighted to partner with an established and highly regarded organisation within the healthcare sector as they look to appoint their next Procurement Officer.
Operating across a national warehouse network, the business manages a diverse portfolio of products sourced from both domestic and international suppliers. This role will play an important part in ensuring products move efficiently through the supply chain, supporting purchasing, inventory availability, supplier coordination and logistics across multiple locations.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership, working across multiple priorities and operating within a fast-moving supply chain environment. The position combines purchasing and procurement with inventory management, international freight, pricing maintenance and broader operational support.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager of Supply Chain, you will support procurement and purchasing activities across the organisation’s national warehouse network.
You will manage purchasing from local and international suppliers, monitor purchase orders through to delivery, coordinate with freight providers and ensure pricing and inventory information remains accurate across internal systems. The role will also identify opportunities to improve purchasing costs, alternative supply options and inventory efficiency.

- Managing purchasing across local and international suppliers
- Raising and monitoring purchase orders through to receipt
- Coordinating international imports and freight forwarders
- Maintaining accurate supplier and product pricing
- Managing stock transfers across multiple warehouse locations
- Supporting inventory control, cycle counts and stock discrepancies
- Managing short-dated, expired and obsolete inventory
- Identifying alternative suppliers and cost-saving opportunities
- Supporting new product setup and onboarding
- Coordinating third-party freight and logistics providers
- Supporting internally manufactured products and associated work order
The successful candidate will bring experience within procurement, purchasing, inventory management or broader supply chain operations.
Experience within healthcare, pharmaceutical, medical products, agriculture, wholesale, distribution or manufacturing environments will be highly regarded.
Key capabilities and attributes will include:
- Strong purchasing, procurement or supply chain experience
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with data
- Experience using ERP, inventory or purchasing systems
- Excellent attention to detail across pricing and inventory information
- Strong organisation and ability to manage competing priorities
- A proactive and self-driven approach with a high level of ownership
- Strong stakeholder and supplier communication skills
- Commercial awareness with an interest in identifying savings and better value
- Strong problem-solving capability
