Key Responsibilities
- Requirements Elicitation: Gather, analyze, and document business needs, user stories, and functional specifications from stakeholders across underwriting, claims, and policy servicing.
- System & Process Optimization: Evaluate core life insurance platforms, map workflows, and identify gaps or digital enhancement opportunities.
- Cross-Functional Liaison: Act as the primary communication bridge between business users, technical development teams, and external vendors.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Coordinate or support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), manage defects, and verify system outputs against baseline business rules.
- Change Management: Guide operational readiness, user training, and post-implementation support.
Core Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
- Experience: 2 to 5+ years of business analysis experience within the life insurance or financial services sector.
- Domain Knowledge: Understanding of the insurance product lifecycle.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies, data analysis tools (SQL, Excel, Power BI), and requirement platforms (JIRA, Confluence).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and stakeholder management, often requiring bilingual fluency (e.g., English and Cantonese) in regional hubs.
