Senior Merchandising Director (Denim)

• Lead the end-to-end merchandising process, from product development through production and delivery.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies to support business objectives, cost competitiveness, and operational efficiency.
• Evaluate and strengthen supplier capabilities in product development, quality management, production planning, and capacity management.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring high levels of service and responsiveness.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, quality, technical, and production teams, to ensure successful execution.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives in quality, delivery, and overall operational effectiveness.
• Identify, assess, and onboard new manufacturing partners to enhance sourcing flexibility and support business expansion.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing merchandising team, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
• Analyze market trends, customer requirements, and sourcing opportunities to support strategic decision-making.
• Contribute to business planning, process enhancement, and organizational growth initiatives.
• Experience with Egypt would be a plus.

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Textiles, Apparel, Fashion, Business, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of merchandising experience within the apparel industry, including extensive experience in denim products.
• Strong understanding of global sourcing, vendor management, and multi-country manufacturing operations.
• Experience managing key accounts within international markets, particularly North America, is highly preferred.
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate, develop, and influence teams and stakeholders.
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to balance quality, cost, speed, and customer expectations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English and Chinese.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
