The Opportunity


A large, complex manufacturing business is investing in capability across its operations network.

This is not a traditional L&D role.

This position sits at the intersection of operations, compliance, and workforce capability - ensuring frontline teams are trained, compliant, and performing at a high level.

You will work closely with site leadership and People teams to embed practical, scalable learning solutions across production, distribution, and operational environments.


The Role


  • Lead operational learning across production, operations, and distribution environments
  • Own onboarding, induction, and compliance training aligned to WHS and industry standards
  • Manage and uplift a team of Workplace Trainers and Assessors
  • Partner with site leaders to identify capability gaps and deliver targeted solutions
  • Oversee LMS and training systems to ensure accuracy, reporting, and compliance
  • Support broader transformation and continuous improvement initiatives


What This Role Requires


  • Experience in L&D or capability roles within manufacturing, FMCG, logistics, or similar environments
  • Strong understanding of compliance frameworks (WHS, GMP, HACCP or similar)
  • Proven ability to operate in site-based, operational environments
  • Experience managing trainers or leading capability teams
  • Ability to balance hands-on delivery with strategic input
  • Strong stakeholder engagement with operational leaders
