A site-based HR Advisor /BP role at a busy distribution centre in Keysborough, supporting an ANZ HR team inside a global business. Hands-on, on the floor, in the action. Not a corporate HQ role.
About the business
Our client is a global manufacturer with a strong portfolio of well-known consumer brands. The ANZ business runs a multi-site operation with distribution at the centre of it. Operational, fast paced, and currently working through acquisition integration activity across the region.
The role
You will be the go-to HR partner for the DC. Operational HR end to end. You will work closely with site managers, the EHS Manager, and the wider ANZ HR team. You will also back up the HR Director during periods of absence.
Day to day, the role covers:
- Hands-on HR operational support and coaching for site leaders
- Interpreting Awards and the EBA, administering contracts, resolving work-related issues
- Employee relations matters, including union engagement
- Performance management and disciplinary process support for managers
- Engagement initiatives, induction, and workplace culture
- Compensation, benefits, and the salary review cycle
- Recruitment partnering and agency management
- Support on integration activity and harmonisation post acquisition
- Policy review and compliance with employment legislation
- Partnering with the EHS Manager on safety and wellbeing programmes
About you
You are an experienced HR Advisor or HRBP who knows distribution, warehousing, manufacturing, or industrial environments. You are comfortable on a DC floor and equally comfortable in a leadership meeting:
You will bring:
- HR experience in a distribution, warehousing, manufacturing, or industrial setting
- Working knowledge of Modern Awards and EBA interpretation
- Direct exposure to union engagement and ER matters
- Confidence supporting managers through performance management and disciplinary process
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously
- Comfort with remote management and reporting across time zones
- Exceptional written and verbal communication
- Tertiary HR qualification, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Prior exposure to integrations, acquisitions, or harmonisation work (advantageous)
- International or global business exposure (advantageous)
