Construction Manager OFCI & OSM

SilverBack is looking for a Construction Manager – OFCI & OSM (Fixed-Term Contract)

Are you interested in managing major high-tech construction projects in forward-looking industries such as the data centre sector? SilverBack is seeking an experienced Construction Manager – OFCI & OSM to support the successful delivery of complex EPC projects across the DACH region.

This is a fixed-term contract position offering a competitive package and the opportunity to work on large-scale, cutting-edge data centre developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage high-tech data centre construction projects with a focus on Owner-Furnished Contractor-Installed (OFCI) equipment and Off-Site Manufacturing (OSM) / modular construction systems.
• Ensure construction activities are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.
• Coordinate the integration of client-supplied components and prefabricated modular systems into the overall project delivery.
• Lead coordination meetings and maintain effective communication with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
• Oversee and coordinate all construction partners, suppliers, and subcontractors while providing leadership to the site team.
• Develop, monitor, and manage project schedules, interfaces, and supply chain activities.
• Ensure full compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) regulations and site procedures.

Requirements

• Technical construction qualification (e.g., Master Craftsman, Technician) or a degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in construction management, ideally within data centres, industrial construction, or plant engineering environments.
• Experience managing OFCI packages and/or modular construction (OSM) projects would be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of construction legislation, local regulations, and industry standards.
• Willingness to travel throughout Germany, Austria, and Switzerland (DACH region) and work on-site as required.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently.
• Very good German language skills (written and spoken) and good English language skills.
• Valid Class B driving licence.
