The Role
As Head of Credit, you will lead the credit function and oversee risk management across a sophisticated commercial real estate lending portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead credit assessment and decision-making across complex property transactions.
- Provide independent oversight across structuring, underwriting and approvals.
- Oversee portfolio risk, concentration, stress testing and early-warning frameworks.
- Drive credit policy, governance and risk management standards.
- Lead or contribute to restructures, workouts and special situations.
- Partner with origination, portfolio management and executive stakeholders.
- Present recommendations to senior governance forums.
- Lead and develop the credit and portfolio management capability.
You are a senior credit professional with deep expertise across commercial real estate, construction, development finance, private credit or structured lending.
You will bring:
- Strong credit risk, underwriting and portfolio management experience.
- Expertise across complex transaction structuring and documentation.
- Experience operating within delegated authority and credit committee environments.
- Sound judgement managing portfolio risk and challenged exposures.
- The ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead high-performing teams.
- Strong knowledge of Australian commercial real estate markets.
