NGO - Director of Programs – Capacity building and inclusion

Apply directAt ConnectedGroup, we are supporting a local organization working in advocacy, capacity building and education, empowerment and support, and inclusion, in the search for their Director of Programs.
Reporting into the Executive Director and leading a small team, the Director will be responsible to shape and drive the strategic direction of some of their core programs, contribute to their enhancement and execution, lead fundraising and partnership development efforts, and effectively grow and consolidate reach with the local community.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee a portfolio of programmes and initiatives, including planning, delivery, partner engagement, content development, events, and programme evaluation.
- Manage relationships with corporate partners, ensuring strong engagement, effective communication, and successful renewal of partnerships.
- Support business development and fundraising efforts by identifying opportunities, contributing to proposals, and working with colleagues to secure new partners and sponsors.
- Develop insights, resources, and communications that support inclusive workplace practices and raise awareness of relevant employment and leadership issues.
- Facilitate presentations, workshops, and discussions with external stakeholders when required.
- Contribute to organisation-wide initiatives, events, and projects, while working closely with colleagues across different functions.
- Lead, coach, and support a small team, ensuring effective collaboration, delivery of priorities, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, Masters’ degree preferred.
- Significant professional experience in a non-profit, additional experience in corporate, consulting, professional services, or related environment is advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams and working collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong track record in programme or project management, including planning, execution, stakeholder engagement, and performance monitoring.
- Experience managing partnerships, client relationships, fundraising activities, business development initiatives, or similar external-facing responsibilities.
- Good understanding of issues relating to inclusion, workplace equity, employee engagement, leadership development, or organisational culture.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and represent programmes externally.
- Well organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Comfortable working in a very fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative environment and contributing both strategically and operationally.
- Excellent written and spoken English. Chinese language skills would be highly advantageous.
