THE COMPANY:

A rapidly growing Irish manufacturing business operating from a modern facility in the Midlands. The company designs and produces highly engineered industrial equipment for customers across Ireland, Europe and international markets.

With increasing demand and a growing order book, they continue to invest in their engineering and production teams. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a graduate engineer to gain hands-on exposure to real-world manufacturing, production and operational engineering activities from day one.

THE ROLE:

This Graduate Mechanical Engineer role is heavily focused on supporting production and manufacturing operations. Working closely with the Engineering Manager, production teams and workshop personnel, you'll help ensure products move efficiently through manufacturing while meeting quality and delivery targets.

• Support daily manufacturing and production activities
• Assist with resolving technical and production issues on the shop floor
• Produce manufacturing documentation and work instructions
• Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency
• Work with production teams to identify and eliminate process bottlenecks
• Update engineering drawings and documentation when required
• Assist with product modifications and engineering changes
• Support quality, manufacturing and operational improvement projects

THE PERSON:

This role is ideal for a graduate who enjoys the practical side of engineering and wants to work closely with manufacturing operations rather than being purely office or design based.

Candidates with placement experience in manufacturing, production or engineering environments will be particularly attractive.

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline
• Strong interest in manufacturing and production environments
• Good understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals
• Problem-solving mindset and practical approach to engineering challenges
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Comfortable working across office and production environments
• Experience with CAD software is beneficial but not the primary focus of the role
• Motivated to learn and develop within a fast-growing engineering company
