Career Concepts is seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker for a growing manufacturing facility in Meadville, PA. This is a hands-on position responsible for building, repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining precision tooling used in production operations. The ideal candidate will have strong machining experience, the ability to work independently, and a proven background working with dies, molds, fixtures, gauges, and other precision tooling components.

Responsibilities

• Build, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain precision tooling, molds, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges

• Analyze tooling issues and perform corrective repairs to minimize production downtime

• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and CAD-generated prints

• Operate manual and CNC machining equipment, including mills, lathes, grinders, EDM machines, and drill presses

• Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges, and other inspection equipment

• Modify and improve tooling to enhance production efficiency, quality, and performance

• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams on tooling projects and process improvements

• Perform preventative maintenance on tooling and related equipment

• Ensure tooling meets all dimensional and quality specifications

• Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, modifications, and maintenance activities

• Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment

Qualifications and Skills

• High school diploma or GED required

• Trade school training or technical certification preferred

• Minimum of 5 years of Tool & Die Maker experience in a manufacturing environment

• Strong knowledge of machining practices, tooling materials, tool steels, and heat-treating processes

• Experience operating both manual and CNC machining equipment

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings

• Strong troubleshooting, mechanical aptitude, and problem-solving skills

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing as part of a team

Benefits/Compensation

• Full Time

• First shift (8am – 4pm)  

• $28+/hr based on experience

• Temp to hire position  

• Weekly pay while employed through Career Concepts

• Benefits available while employed through Career Concepts
