General Insurance Executive

The Role

My client, a well established insurance broker is seeking an experienced General Insurance Executive to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent, office based position based in Longford.

As the General Insurance Executive, you’ll manage personal lines business while supporting commercial insurance activities, handling renewals, new business, quotations, policy administration and client servicing, with a strong focus on customer service and career development.

Tasks & Duties

• Managing renewals, new business, quotations and mid-term adjustments across Motor, Home, Van, Travel, Farm and other personal lines products
• Building strong client relationships and delivering a consistently high standard of customer service
• Identifying opportunities to retain and grow the existing client base through cross-selling and proactive account management
• Liaising with insurers and underwriters to secure competitive quotations and process policy changes
• Maintaining accurate policy records and client documentation using broker management systems and insurer portals
• Supporting general office administration, invoicing, payments and compliance activities

Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications

• Previous insurance experience essential, ideally gained within a broker environment
• APA qualified at a minimum
• Strong working knowledge of Personal Lines insurance products
• Exposure to Commercial Lines would be distinct an advantage
• Excellent communication, customer service and organisational skills
• Confident IT skills, with the ability to work across multiple systems
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working as part of a small team
