Senior Mechanical Estimator



Excellent opportunity to join a leading engineering contractor, as our client looks to appoint a Senior Mechanical Estimator to strengthen their pre-construction team in Dublin.

Our client is a well-established engineering contractor delivering innovative building services solutions across a variety of sectors including commercial, industrial, healthcare, pharmaceutical, and data centres.

As their project portfolio continues to expand, they are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Mechanical Estimator.


Role:


Based in Dublin, the successful Senior Mechanical Estimator will take ownership of the estimating process for major mechanical building services projects.


Responsibilities include:


  • Preparing detailed tenders and cost estimates
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, and project documentation
  • Obtaining supplier and subcontractor quotations
  • Producing cost plans and pricing schedules
  • Conducting risk assessments and value engineering exercises
  • Supporting negotiations and tender clarifications
  • Working closely with bid, commercial, and project delivery teams
  • Managing multiple tenders simultaneously
  • Assisting with pre-construction strategy and planning


Person:


  • Mechanical Engineering or Building Services background preferred
  • Significant experience in mechanical estimation
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Experience pricing large-scale building services projects
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and drawings
  • Strong organisational and communication skills


Package:


  • Salary: €80,000 – €95,000
