Financial Accountant – Year-End Contract Opportunities

We are currently partnering with a range of organisations across Perth to connect with experienced Financial Accountants to support upcoming year-end reporting and close activities.

These contract opportunities are ideal for immediately available professionals who are confident stepping into fast-paced environments and delivering high-quality outputs from day one.

 

About the Opportunities

You will work across a variety of organisations supporting month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting.

These are hands-on roles where you will be trusted to take ownership of key accounting tasks, work closely with finance teams, and support audit readiness during critical reporting periods.

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
  • Prepare statutory financial statements in line with AASB/IFRS
  • Support external audit processes and liaise with auditors
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
  • Prepare journals, accruals, and end-of-period adjustments
  • Assist with BAS, tax, and compliance reporting
  • Support consolidations (where applicable)
  • Ensure adherence to reporting deadlines and internal controls
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting support

 

About You
  • CA/CPA qualified or near completion
  • Strong experience in financial accounting with proven year-end exposure
  • Solid understanding of AASB/IFRS standards
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, MYOB, etc.)
  • High attention to detail and strong time management skills
  • Able to quickly adapt to new systems and environments
  • Available immediately or at short notice
