This role offers the opportunity to be the dedicated Structural Engineer based in Kalgoorlie, supporting a growing portfolio of mining clients who require immediate, on-the-ground engineering input. You’ll work closely with civil and geotechnical engineers in a small local office, with additional support from a larger structural team based in Perth.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver structural design, assessment, and inspection services for mining and industrial projects
- Provide timely engineering support for site-related structural issues and urgent client requests
- Liaise directly with clients, contractors, and internal engineering teams
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, and documentation
- Conduct site visits and inspections as required across local operations
- Collaborate with civil and geotechnical engineers on integrated project delivery
About You
- Degree-qualified Structural Engineer
- Proven experience in the mining sector (essential)
- Strong understanding of structural design for industrial/mining infrastructure
- Ability to work autonomously as the sole structural representative in the Kalgoorlie office
- Confident communicator with a client-focused mindset
- Willing and committed to being residentially based in Kalgoorlie (this is not a FIFO or remote role)
