ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the AML Lead, this role will support the organisation’s AML/CTF framework across customer investigations, transaction monitoring, controls and regulatory reporting. You’ll investigate unusual activity, conduct enhanced due diligence, review source of funds and wealth, prepare Suspicious Matter Reports and support the ongoing monitoring of AML/CTF controls.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the AML Lead, this role will support the organisation’s AML/CTF framework across customer investigations, transaction monitoring, controls and regulatory reporting. You’ll investigate unusual activity, conduct enhanced due diligence, review source of funds and wealth, prepare Suspicious Matter Reports and support the ongoing monitoring of AML/CTF controls.
DUTIES
- Investigate unusual matters escalated by frontline teams including credit, customer care and application administration
- Review customer profiles and account activity to identify transaction patterns and financial crime risks
- Prepare Suspicious Matter Reports and supporting documentation for AUSTRAC review
- Conduct Enhanced Customer Due Diligence reviews and escalate complex or high-risk matters
- Review customer documentation to verify source of funds and source of wealth
- Support the identification and analysis of AML/CTF obligations and updates to policies and procedures
- Document, test and monitor AML/CTF controls
- Support the AML/CTF Compliance Officer with regulatory and operational reporting
- Proven experience as an AML, CDD or KYC Analyst, or within a similar compliance role
- Strong knowledge of AML laws and regulatory requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communication and interpersonal skills
- High ethical standards and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration or a related field is desirable
