About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Specialist Contracts professional to join a high-performing project team supporting major infrastructure projects. This position is responsible for managing the full contract lifecycle across a portfolio of project and maintenance contracts, ensuring commercial outcomes are achieved while maintaining compliance with internal policies and governance requirements.
Working closely with project, procurement, legal and operational stakeholders, you will play a key role in delivering effective tendering, contract administration and commercial support throughout the project lifecycle.

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Specialist Contracts professional to join a high-performing project team supporting major infrastructure projects. This position is responsible for managing the full contract lifecycle across a portfolio of project and maintenance contracts, ensuring commercial outcomes are achieved while maintaining compliance with internal policies and governance requirements.
Working closely with project, procurement, legal and operational stakeholders, you will play a key role in delivering effective tendering, contract administration and commercial support throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage allocated contracts through the full contract lifecycle, including pre-award, award, execution and post-award activities.
- Prepare and manage Expressions of Interest (EOIs), Requests for Tender (RFTs), contract documentation and award recommendations.
- Coordinate tender processes including bidder communications, pre-tender meetings, clarifications, evaluations, commercial assessments and recommendation reports.
- Negotiate contract terms and conditions with suppliers and contractors, engaging internal stakeholders and legal teams where required.
- Administer contracts following award, including managing variations, claims, payment approvals and contractor performance.
- Facilitate vendor and contractor meetings and maintain strong commercial relationships.
- Monitor contract compliance and ensure contractual obligations are met by all parties.
- Prepare commercial reports, contract status updates and risk assessments for project stakeholders.
- Provide commercial advice to project teams throughout procurement and execution phases.
- Ensure all contracting activities comply with internal governance, procurement policies and legislative requirements.
- Extensive experience in contract administration, project commercial management or cost control within the mining, resources or heavy industry sectors.
- Demonstrated experience managing large-scale project or maintenance contracts.
- Strong understanding of the full contract lifecycle, including tendering, contract negotiation, claims management and contract variations.
- Experience coordinating complex procurement and tender evaluation processes.
- Excellent negotiation, stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Strong analytical, commercial and problem-solving capabilities.
- High-level written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare professional commercial documentation.
- A tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Law, Engineering or a related discipline.
