This is a newly created leadership role reporting directly to the General Manager. You will play a key role in overseeing credit operations, team performance, and lending quality within a fast-growing non-bank lending environment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing a high-performing credit assessment team
- Overseeing end-to-end credit assessment and decisioning in line with lending policies and risk appetite
- Monitoring portfolio performance, loan quality, arrears trends, and key risk indicators
- Ensuring compliance with responsible lending obligations, NCCP requirements, and internal frameworks
- Providing coaching, guidance, and quality assurance to maintain strong credit standards
- Collaborating with stakeholders across collections, compliance, finance, and leadership teams
- Driving process improvements across systems, workflows, and operational efficiencies
- Contributing to strategic initiatives and the ongoing growth of the lending portfolio

To be successful in this opportunity, you must have experience in the following areas and possess the below personal qualities:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within consumer lending, with strong exposure to auto finance and non-bank lending environments
- Previous leadership experience within a credit function, with the ability to mentor, support, and develop team performance
- Strong understanding of responsible lending obligations, credit assessment principles, and balancing risk with commercial outcomes
- Commercial auto finance experience will be highly regarded, while exposure to non-conforming lending environments will be considered a distinct advantage
