The Company
Our client is a highly established international business operating within the industrial equipment and materials handling sector. The business has a strong presence in the Irish market and works with major organisations across manufacturing, logistics, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, and retail.
With a well-established sales operation and strong market position, the business is looking for an experienced commercial leader to take responsibility for a significant division and lead its continued growth.
The Role
This is a senior Head of Sales position responsible for leading a well-established sales team and driving the commercial direction of a significant business division.
Approximately 80–90% of the role will focus on sales leadership and management rather than individual selling. You will be responsible for developing the team, setting commercial direction, managing key customer relationships, and driving year-on-year growth.
The role will involve working closely with major industrial and commercial customers, engaging at C-suite level and developing long-term strategic relationships.
Based in the Dublin area, the position will initially require a strong office presence before moving to a hybrid working arrangement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, motivating, and developing a high-performing sales team.
- Setting and implementing the commercial strategy for the division.
- Driving revenue and year-on-year growth.
- Managing key strategic customer relationships.
- Developing relationships with senior and C-suite stakeholders.
- Monitoring sales performance, pipeline, and commercial activity.
- Identifying new market and business development opportunities.
- Working closely with internal teams to deliver commercial objectives.
- Contributing to wider group sales strategy and targets.

The Person
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' senior sales experience, ideally with some previous management or team leadership experience. A background in capital equipment, industrial equipment, heavy goods, materials handling, or a related sector would be advantageous.
A strategic and commercial mindset is important, alongside the ability to lead an established team and develop strong relationships with major customers.

The Package
- €80,000–€100,000 base salary.

Location
The successful candidate should be within a reasonable commuting distance of Dublin.
The role will initially require a minimum of 4–5 days per week in the office, with a hybrid arrangement expected to move to a minimum of 3 days per week in the office thereafter. Regular travel to major customer sites will also be required.
