Project Director

This ASX-listed gold development company is advancing a flagship international asset through final study phases toward development. With a substantial resource base, strong project fundamentals and a clear pathway to Final Investment Decision, the organisation is focused on building the capability required to deliver a disciplined and well-executed transition into construction.

An opportunity exists for an experienced Project Director to take responsibility for the day-to-day execution of a major gold development project in a complex international environment.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will act as the central integrator across all project functions, ensuring alignment between engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities. This is a highly visible leadership role with accountability for delivering the project safely, on schedule and within budget as it progresses from late-stage studies into construction.

• Lead end-to-end project execution from the recent DFS completion through construction and commissioning
• Integrate engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning into a single delivery plan
• Drive schedule, cost and performance outcomes in line with approved targets
• Manage EPCM/EPC contractors, major work packages and key interfaces
• Oversee contractor performance, productivity and compliance
• Support commercial strategies, including claims, variations and risk management
• Provide leadership across site teams in a remote and challenging environment
• Ensure strong HSE, quality and operational standards across all activities
• Coordinate stakeholder engagement across internal, regulatory and community interfaces
• Build and lead a high-performing multidisciplinary project team

You are an experienced project execution leader with a strong track record delivering large-scale mining or infrastructure projects through construction and commissioning. You bring a disciplined approach to delivery, combined with the ability to manage complex interfaces across contractors, stakeholders and internal teams.

• Proven experience in project execution within EPCM/EPC delivery models
• Strong understanding of project controls, cost management and scheduling
• Experience operating in remote or international environments
• Ability to manage contractors, interfaces and multidisciplinary teams
• Commercial acumen, including exposure to contracts, claims and variations
• Strong leadership capability and ability to drive performance in challenging environments
