Apply directAn excellent opportunity exists for an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join a busy and growing workshop specialising in the repair, maintenance and fabrication of fuel tankers, chemical tankers and associated pipework.
This workshop-based position offers long-term stability, ongoing overtime opportunities and the chance to work on specialised equipment within a well-established and expanding business.
- TIG welding aluminium and stainless steel
- Repairing and maintaining fuel tankers
- Repairing and maintaining stainless steel chemical tankers
- Fabricating and repairing associated pipework
- Performing crack repairs and leak repairs on tanks
- Working on self-bunded fuel tank projects
- Pump fit-out fabrication and pipework installation
- Completing work to hydrotesting and leak-testing standards
- General fabrication and workshop duties
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven TIG welding experience with aluminium and stainless steel
- Strong fabrication and workshop experience
- Experience with pipework fabrication
- Repair and maintenance experience
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication requirements
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Fuel tanker experience
- Tanker repair and maintenance experience
- Transport industry experience
- Chemical tanker experience
- Stainless steel process pipework experience
- Self-bunded fuel tank experience
- Pump fit-out experience
