Finance Transformation Specialist

The Organisation
This is a large, well-established Australian business currently undertaking a significant ERP transformation programme, migrating onto a single unified global platform. To support delivery of this project, the finance function is bringing on a small team of specialists to own the business side of the migration.

The Opportunity
We are looking for three Finance Transformation Specialists to join the project team, each reporting into a dedicated Workstream Lead within the finance function. These are hands-on delivery roles sitting at the intersection of finance, data, and systems. You will work closely with both the finance team and the IT/project team to ensure financial data is migrated accurately and that the new system is configured to meet the business's operational and reporting needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the identification, cleansing, and validation of financial data across sub-ledgers and master data (vendors, customers, assets, cost centres) to ensure migration readiness
• Map legacy data fields and structures to global ERP templates, accounting for operational, statutory, and regulatory requirements
• Own data validation cycles, including test load reviews and reconciliations prior to go-live
• Act as the bridge between the finance team and the IT/project team, translating business process requirements into system specifications
• Participate in fit-gap analysis and contribute to decisions around configuration, customisation, or process change
• Develop and validate user stories and test cases that reflect real-world scenarios
• Explore and implement AI and automation tools to improve finance processes as part of the broader transformation roadmap
• Create training materials and support finance staff through the transition to the new system
• Provide clear project status updates and risk reporting to senior stakeholders

Skills Needed

• Hands-on experience with a major ERP platform
• Prior involvement in ERP implementation or finance transformation projects highly regarded
• CA or CPA qualified (or equivalent) preferred
• Strong Excel and financial systems skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage across finance, technology, and senior leadership
• Detail-oriented, organised, and comfortable working to project deadlines
