Accountant (31k x 13 month, Financial Reporting, Regional Role)

Our client is a well-established MNC with a strong global footprint across multiple regions. With a reputable presence in Hong Kong, they are currently looking for an Accountant to join their team, supporting financial reporting across Hong Kong and the wider APAC region.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage month-end closing activities, including preparation of journal entries and financial statements
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and perform variance analysis, providing insights to support business decisions
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Support external audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance matters
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across functions to ensure smooth day-to-day financial operations, including handling claims and dispute-related issues
• Work closely with external service providers, including auditors and tax advisors

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Professional qualification (e.g. HKICPA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) is preferred
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, audit, or commercial environments; regional exposure is an advantage
• Strong analytical mindset with good attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with systems such as Dynamics AX or Oracle is a plus
