Apply directA large-scale organisation in Hong Kong is looking to appoint a Vice President, Business Management & Workforce Strategy.
This is a highly visible leadership role supporting a senior executive and overseeing workforce planning, resource optimisation, governance, and strategic business management across a complex operation with several thousand employees and outsourced workforce resources.
The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, ensuring workforce capacity, resource allocation, vendor management, and operational processes are effectively aligned with business priorities and future growth plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a sizeable business management and resource planning team
- Drive workforce planning, headcount strategy, resource allocation, and cost management across a large-scale operation
- Oversee vendor workforce governance, contract management, and resource-related approvals
- Partner with senior leadership on business planning, organisational effectiveness, and operating model improvements
- Establish robust governance, reporting, and performance management frameworks
- Lead cross-functional projects focused on process optimisation, operational efficiency, and organisational scalability
- Prepare executive-level reports, presentations, and recommendations to support strategic decision-making
- Manage relationships with key external stakeholders and business partners while ensuring effective project governance and execution
Ideal Profile
- 15+ years of experience in workforce planning, business management, PMO, strategy, operations, or organisational effectiveness
- Background in top-tier management consulting is highly preferred
- Proven experience leading transformation, process improvement, and operating model review initiatives
- Strong understanding of workforce planning, resource optimisation, governance, and performance management
- Ability to operate at both strategic and executive levels while influencing senior stakeholders
- Experience navigating large, matrixed, or workforce-intensive organisations
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management capabilities
