Warehouse Assistant

MAYDAY Recruitment is currently partnering with a leading organisation to recruit an experienced Warehouse Assistant to join their team in South Melbourne.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys keeping things organised, working as part of a team and making sure stock gets where it needs to go accurately and safely.

What’s involved?

• Receiving, checking and putting away incoming stock
• Picking, packing and dispatching orders accurately and efficiently
• Using ERP systems to record stock movements, including serial numbers, expiry dates and lot details
• Ensuring stock is stored correctly and inventory records are kept up to date
• Preparing and labelling orders ready for delivery
• Checking products on arrival and before dispatch and reporting any issues
• Assisting with regular stocktakes and cycle counts
• Handling specialised stock, including temperature-sensitive products, in line with procedures
• Supporting the wider warehouse team with general day-to-day operations

About you

• Walkie Stacker experience is essential
• Previous warehouse or logistics experience
• Comfortable working with ERP or inventory management systems
• Reliable, organised and detail-focused
• Strong awareness of workplace safety and quality
• A hands-on team player who is happy to pitch in where needed
• Available to work full-time for the duration of the 6-month temporary contract
• Available to start ASAP
