We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established residential care provider seeking a compassionate and motivated Deputy Manager to support the day-to-day leadership of a high-quality elderly care service. The Role Supporting the Registered Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining exceptional standards of care, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence while creating a warm, welcoming environment for both residents and colleagues. Key Responsibilities Support the Registered Manager with the daily operation of the service. Lead, motivate and develop the care team through effective coaching, supervision and mentoring. Promote a culture of compassionate, person-centred care that enhances residents' wellbeing and independence. Ensure compliance with CQC standards, safeguarding procedures and relevant legislation. Monitor and maintain high standards of care, documentation, medication management and risk assessments. Assist with recruitment, induction, training and ongoing staff development. Build positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals and external agencies. Support occupancy, quality assurance and continuous service improvement initiatives. Act as Manager in the Registered Manager's absence, ensuring the smooth and safe running of the service. What We're Looking For Previous experience within a senior leadership role in an elderly care setting. Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and person-centred care practices. A positive, approachable and compassionate leadership style. Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills. Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification as a minimum (Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards).
