Interim Registered Manager Location: Maidenhead Rate: Competitive Day Rate (DOE) The Opportunity Are you an experienced Interim Registered Manager who can quickly step into a service, provide confident leadership, and make an immediate impact? We are working with a respected residential care provider seeking an accomplished interim leader to oversee a well-established elderly care home during a period of transition. This assignment is ideal for an experienced manager who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys stabilising services, supporting teams, and maintaining high standards of care and compliance. The Role As Interim Registered Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the service continues to deliver safe, effective, person-centred care while maintaining full regulatory compliance. Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will provide stability, mentor the existing team, and ensure residents continue to receive the highest standards of care throughout the interim period. Key Responsibilities Provide strong operational leadership and oversee the daily management of the home. Ensure compliance with all CQC regulations, legislation, and best practice guidelines. Maintain high standards of person-centred care, ensuring residents' wellbeing remains the priority. Support, motivate, and develop the existing management and care teams. Identify and implement service improvements where required. Manage staffing, rotas, recruitment support, and workforce planning as needed. Oversee quality assurance, audits, safeguarding, and risk management. Build positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external stakeholders. Ensure effective financial management and efficient use of resources throughout the assignment. Provide clear communication and regular updates to senior management on service performance. About You Previous experience as a Registered Manager within an elderly residential care setting. Proven track record of successfully managing interim assignments or stepping into services requiring immediate leadership. Excellent understanding of CQC regulations and adult social care legislation. A confident, hands-on leader who can quickly build credibility with teams. Passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care. Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or equivalent). Available to start at short notice. What's on Offer Competitive day rate, dependent on experience. Immediate start available.
