Director of Alumni Affairs - Higher Education

At ConnectedGroup, we are supporting one of Hong Kong’s major higher education institutions in the search for their Director of Alumni Affairs.

Reporting into senior leadership,and leading a sizeable team, the DoAA will be responsible for providing strategic direction and operational oversight for all alumni engagement activities in Hong Kong, Mainland China and internationally.

Responsibilities:

• Lead initiatives to build and strengthen relationships with the community, fostering long-term engagement and connection.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with affiliated groups, networks, and representative bodies.
• Deliver engagement programs, events, and communications that encourage alumni participation and a sense of belonging.
• Introduce new initiatives to engage alumni and grow community involvement.
• Promote volunteering, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing opportunities to support organizational objectives.
• Use data and insights to inform outreach strategies and evaluate engagement outcomes.
• Manage and develop a team, encouraging collaboration, accountability, and high performance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree, Master's degree highly desirable.
• Experience in alumni relations, stakeholder management, communications, preferably within an education institution or similar
• Demonstrated leadership and people management experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
• Collaborative, proactive, and relationship-focused approach.
• Strong planning, strategic thinking, and project management capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
