Retail Sales Associate - Chicago, IL

Our client, an immersive art experience, is seeking a Retail Associate to join the team at their Chicago location. This is a temporary position with ongoing opportunities based on performance and the needs of the business. Candidates must be able to work weekends.

Job Duties:

• Greet and engage guests entering the retail space at the conclusion of the experience, creating a welcoming and elevated final touchpoint for all visitors.
• Deliver exceptional guest service while maintaining a playful, immersive, and hospitality-driven brand experience.
• Drive retail revenue by actively supporting daily sales goals, KPI targets, and overall store performance metrics.
• Increase EDS (Estimated Dollars Spent) per guest through strategic upselling, cross-selling, and personalized product recommendations.
• Promote and sell retail merchandise, experiential add-ons, and featured products to maximize guest conversion opportunities.
• Maintain strong product knowledge across all retail items, exclusive merchandise, seasonal offerings, and experiential packages.
• Identify guest interests and tailor recommendations based on guest behaviors, preferences, and purchase patterns.
• Encourage positive guest engagement and support reputation management initiatives by generating positive Google Reviews and guest feedback.
• Act as a brand ambassador by maintaining a high-energy, polished, and guest-focused presence at all times.
• Support crowd flow and maintain organization within the retail environment during peak guest traffic periods.
• Escalate guest concerns, complaints, or service recovery situations to the MOD (Manager on Duty) in a timely and professional manner.
• Collaborate closely with Experience Ambassadors and on-site leadership to ensure a seamless transition from the immersive experience into the retail environment.
• Support merchandising standards, restocking, cleanliness, and overall visual presentation of the retail space.
• Assist with operational tasks including POS support, inventory organization, packaging, and guest purchase assistance as needed.
• Maintain professionalism, adaptability, and strong communication skills in a fast-paced experiential retail environment.

Job Qualifications:

• Proven retail sales and upselling experience.
• A proactive, guest-first approach to initiating conversations.
• Confidence recommending additional products and increasing basket size.
• Strong ability to convert positive guest interactions into Google Reviews.
• Experience in luxury, experiential, or commission-based retail environments.

Salary: $22/hr
