This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Home Assessor, Building Supervisor or Assessing professional with leadership experience looking to join a business that genuinely invests in its people, systems and future growth.
In this role, you will lead a high-performing team of 6 to 8 Assessors responsible for desktop-based home assessing, scope validation, cost control and end-to-end claims management across residential insurance claims.
You’ll play a critical role in coaching and mentoring assessors, improving operational performance and helping drive exceptional customer outcomes during what can often be challenging times for customers.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading, coaching and mentoring a team of Desktop Home Assessors
- Driving high standards across scoping accuracy, cost validation and claims management
- Managing escalated claims and complex customer matters
- Monitoring team performance, KPIs and operational outcomes
- Supporting process improvement initiatives across the Home Claims function
- Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers and repair networks
- Providing ongoing training, feedback and capability development across the team
- Contributing to workforce planning and operational improvements
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience within Home Assessing, Building, Insurance or Trade-related environments
- Strong background in estimating, scoping and assessing residential building repairs
- Ability to mentor, inspire and performance manage a team
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong organisational and time management capability
- Experience handling escalations, complaints or complex claims matters
- Insurance industry experience highly regarded, but not essential
- Minimum 2 years’ experience within Home Assessing or the broader Building industry
