THE COMPANY:

Our client is a leading provider of residential energy upgrade and retrofit solutions, supporting homeowners throughout Leinster. Operating within government-backed energy efficiency programmes, they deliver comprehensive upgrade projects designed to improve energy performance, reduce carbon emissions and enhance home comfort.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Retrofit Technical Assessor to join their expanding technical team.

THE ROLE:

The successful Retrofit Technical Assessor will act as a key link between homeowners, project teams and technical stakeholders throughout the retrofit process.

This role combines technical surveying, energy assessment, customer consultation and project support. You will conduct property assessments, develop upgrade recommendations and support the successful delivery of energy efficiency projects from initial survey through to project completion.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting on-site residential retrofit surveys throughout Leinster
• Completing BER assessments and DEAP calculations
• Producing energy upgrade proposals and technical recommendations
• Advising homeowners on suitable retrofit and energy-saving measures
• Preparing project cost estimates and supporting pre-contract discussions
• Supporting the design and delivery of heat pump and whole-house retrofit solutions
• Working closely with project managers and engineering teams
• Assisting with grant compliance and programme requirements
• Managing project documentation and technical records
• Supporting tendering, supplier engagement and procurement activities
• Monitoring project costs and supporting commercial decision-making
• Liaising with homeowners and stakeholders throughout project delivery

THE PERSON:

We are looking to speak with candidates who have experience within retrofit, residential construction, building services, surveying, sustainable energy, architecture or engineering environments.

The ideal candidate will have:

• BER Assessor registration
• Degree qualification in Engineering, Building Services, Architecture, Sustainable Energy or a related discipline
• Previous experience within residential construction or retrofit projects
• Strong understanding of building fabric, energy performance and construction techniques
• Experience carrying out BER assessments and working with DEAP software
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
• Strong organisational and project coordination abilities
• Commercial awareness and ability to discuss project costs with customers
• Experience within energy efficiency or sustainability projects would be advantageous
