THE COMPANY:


Our client is a well-established provider of specialist equipment and technical solutions to customers across commercial, retail, hospitality, healthcare and industrial sectors.


Known for delivering high levels of customer service and technical support, they are continuing to invest in their engineering function and are now seeking a Field Service Engineer to support customers throughout Cork and the surrounding region.


THE ROLE:


The successful Field Service Engineer will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of specialist electro-mechanical equipment across a wide range of customer sites.


This is a customer-facing role requiring excellent fault-finding skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to build long-term relationships with customers.


Key responsibilities include:


• Servicing and maintaining specialist electro-mechanical equipment

• Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance activities

• Responding to service callouts and breakdowns

• Installing and commissioning new equipment

• Completing service documentation and maintenance reports

• Providing technical support and advice to customers

• Ensuring high levels of equipment performance and reliability

• Managing parts and service stock requirements

• Maintaining excellent customer relationships across the territory


THE PERSON:


We are looking to speak with candidates who have experience within field service engineering, appliance repair, catering equipment, electronics, vending equipment, medical devices, white goods, industrial equipment, electrical maintenance or electro-mechanical service environments.


The ideal candidate will have:


• Previous field service or maintenance engineering experience

• Strong electro-mechanical fault-finding skills

• Experience working on electrical and mechanical equipment

• Excellent customer-facing and communication abilities

• Good problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage your own workload and territory

• Full clean driving licence

• A proactive and professional approach to customer service
