Compounding Technician / Chemical Operator

Starting Pay: $17.00+ (Based on Experience)
Candidates with production, chemical processing, machine operation, or industrial manufacturing experience are encouraged to apply.

Nesco Resource is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Compounding Technician / Chemical Operator to join a growing manufacturing team in Hickory, NC. This position plays a key role in the production process by safely mixing, processing, packaging, and documenting chemical products while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Process and blend chemicals according to batch records, formulas, and production instructions
• Operate production equipment, including tanks, pumps, filters, dryers, and related processing systems
• Package, label, and prepare finished products for shipment
• Monitor equipment performance and troubleshoot minor production issues
• Accurately complete production records and quality documentation
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and Word for reporting and data entry
• Operate a forklift as needed to move materials throughout the facility
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all company safety, quality, and operating procedures

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Strong math, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel and Word
• Good communication and documentation abilities
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Experience:

• Chemical manufacturing, compounding, or production experience
• Experience working with liquid processing equipment
• Basic knowledge of chemistry and manufacturing processes
• Forklift experience
• Experience with boilers, wastewater systems, reactors, evaporators, or hoisting equipment is a plus

Ideal candidates will be safety-focused, detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in a chemical manufacturing environment.
