Strategic Talent Advisor | EL2 Equivalent | Must hold current Baseline clearance

Are you an experienced talent acquisition and labour hire specialist with a strong understanding of Commonwealth Government recruitment and contract management practices? We are seeking a highly capable Strategic Talent Advisor to support a major government reform program through the delivery of strategic labour hire and workforce management outcomes.

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior professional who thrives in a complex, high-volume environment and can build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

About the role

Working as part of a Program Support function, you will provide strategic advice and operational support across labour hire recruitment, retention, workforce planning, and contract management activities. You will work under limited direction, applying your expertise to ensure best-practice processes, policy compliance, and quality outcomes across the program.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement labour hire recruitment and retention strategies that align with program objectives and government policy requirements.

  • Manage relationships with labour hire providers and external stakeholders, including sensitive contract management discussions.

  • Liaise with internal business areas to manage contractual matters, including sensitive and confidential issues.

  • Build strong relationships with program stakeholders to understand workforce requirements and support talent identification strategies.

  • Analyse workforce trends and provide strategic advice on labour hire resource management.

  • Identify and promote best practices to support continuous improvement across recruitment and contract management functions.

  • Contribute to workforce capability, performance management, and engagement strategies.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.

  • Experience engaging with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives.

  • Demonstrated expertise in Commonwealth Government labour hire talent acquisition and contract management policies and practices.

  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to deliver quality outcomes within tight timeframes.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and sensitively across all levels.

  • A proactive and strategic approach to workforce planning, recruitment, and contract management responsibilities.

  • Demonstrated personal integrity and the ability to achieve results within legislative and policy frameworks.

  • An active Baseline security clearance.

Desirable experience

  • Experience in recruitment and labour hire contract management within a program or project environment.

  • Exposure to large scale workforce planning or reform program delivery.

  • Experience supporting complex ICT or government transformation programs.

Contract details

  • Contract duration: Initial term through to 30 June 2027, with extension options available.

  • Location: Hybrid arrangements available.

  • Hours: Up to 40 hours per week.

  • Security clearance: Active Baseline clearance required.
