APS6 Technical Team Leaders

  • Salary: $91,617 – $114,988 plus superannuation
  • Location: Canberra (onsite)
  • Security Clearance: NV1 mandatory
  • Employment Type: 12-month non-ongoing engagement with potential 6-month extension and future ongoing opportunities

An Australian Government organisation is seeking experienced APS6 Technical Team Leaders to lead specialist ICT teams supporting critical digital services and business systems.

Multiple opportunities are available across software delivery, operational support and systems design disciplines.

Successful candidates will provide leadership, coordination and oversight within multidisciplinary technology teams while working closely with business stakeholders and technical specialists.

Responsibilities may include:

• Leading and developing technical teams in complex ICT environments

• Managing priorities, resources and delivery outcomes across multiple initiatives

• Coordinating agile delivery activities, operational support functions or systems design workstreams

• Facilitating stakeholder engagement and translating business requirements into actionable outcomes

• Monitoring risks, dependencies and delivery performance

• Supporting governance, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives

• Driving collaboration across development, infrastructure, cloud, cyber security and support teams

• Ensuring compliance with security, operational and governance requirements

We are interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Agile delivery leadership and Azure DevOps

• Software development lifecycle coordination

• IT operations, service management and support leadership

• Incident, problem and change management

• Business analysis and solution design

• User-centred design and requirements management

• Enterprise application delivery and support

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, planning, communication and problem-solving capabilities, with experience operating in complex enterprise or government technology environments.

A current NV1 security clearance is essential.
